Chicken Cabbage Stir Fry



With a flavorful and quick stir-fry sauce, this dish of chicken and cabbage combines juicy chicken, crisp cabbage, and vibrant vegetables. It's a tasty and nutritious dinner that's ideal for hectic weeknights.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb chicken breast, sliced
  • 2 cups cabbage, thinly sliced
  • 1 red pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 2 carrots, julienned
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions:

In a bowl, marinate the sliced chicken with soy sauce and oyster sauce

Set aside for 15 minutes

Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat

Add minced garlic and saut for 30 seconds until fragrant

Add the marinated chicken and stir-fry for 5-6 minutes or until cooked through

Remove from the skillet and set aside

In the same skillet, add a bit more oil if needed and add the sliced red pepper, julienned carrots, and frozen peas

Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until vegetables are tender-crisp

Return the cooked chicken to the skillet, and add the thinly sliced cabbage

Stir-fry for an additional 2-3 minutes until the cabbage wilts slightly

Season with salt and pepper to taste

Toss everything together for another minute

Serve hot and garnish with your choice of fresh herbs or sesame seeds if desired
