Delicious Veggie Burger

For a tasty and filling plant-based alternative to regular burgers, try this veggie burger. It's great for both vegans and vegetarians because it's full of black beans, vegetables, and spices.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups cooked black beans, drained and mashed
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup grated carrot
  • 1/4 cup chopped bell pepper
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 burger buns
  • Lettuce leaves
  • Tomato slices
  • Onion rings
  • Sliced avocado
  • Sliced vegan cheese optional
  • Ketchup and mustard for serving

Instructions:

Grate carrot, minced garlic, chopped onion, chopped bell pepper, breadcrumbs, salt, and pepper into a large bowl

Add the mashed black beans and mix them in

Make sure to mix everything well until it's all the same

Split the mixture in half and shape each half into a burger patty

Set a grill or frying pan over medium-high heat and grease it a little

Put the veggie burger patties on the grill or in a skillet

Cook them for four to five minutes on each side, or until they are browned and done

Either grill or toast the burger buns until they are just barely crispy while the patties are cooking

Start by putting a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun

Then add a veggie patty, tomato slices, onion rings, sliced avocado, and vegan cheese, if you want

Put ketchup and mustard on the top half of the buns and then put them on top of the burgers that have been put together

Serve your veggie burgers hot with the sides you like best

Have fun!
